If we all shout loud enough on the features that we wanted they might just hear us...

2011 main updates:
• New chassis <-- To reduce flex perhaps?
• New and improved handling <-- New hubs, caster blocks, steering blocks? More droop?
• New suspension geometry <-- adjustable hinge pin holder?
• New improved weight balance <-- move the CG to a more forward position?
• New diff bulkheads <-- a 100% SEALED gearbox finally?
• New central drivetrain system <-- back to XB8's system or something more advance?
• New central drive shafts <-- I am betting the 808 11 spec center diff will be placed closer to the centerline of the chassis
• New pinion gears <-- 808's Achilles heel finally solved?
• New diff ball-bearings <-- No more chewed up diff bearings?
• New shock -rings <-- o-rings that does not leak? Longer shocks perhaps?
• New rear brace <-- to accommodate the new drivetrain system?
• New front and rear alu suspension holders <-- FINALLY!!!
• New composite eccentric bushings
• New suspension pins
• New high-downforce body <-- XRAY version of Bulldog, yeehaa!!
• New lightweight diff outdrives <-- Previously an option part, now a stock part
• New graphite radio plate <-- Definitely a more forward weight distribution!

Go XRAY go!!

Cloooooooseeeee on your guesses. But in regards to the bolded sentence. Of course XRAY listens to their customers! That's how they've been working since I started running their cars in 2003.

Been running one for almost a year now. I am consistently the last one to pit, heck even hit the 11 minute mark in the main on an outdoor track last year!

Rocco,

Wow! It is indeed great to hear that! There are lots of suggestions to improve the 808 both here and on the XRAY official forum, I sure hope XRAY is taking notes on all the suggestions to improve the 808 further. Now, is the next reincarnation of the 808 an evolution or a revolution?

The tier 1 buggy market is looking damn tough to crack, some of the current and incoming new buggies have very innovative designs and very good feedback from owners regarding its performance. I am hoping XRAY can come out with something to blow the competitions out of the water, is that too much to ask?

Default 2011 Buggy

Can anyone tell me if the new updated parts such as the front hubs, front knuckles, rear axle carriers, etc be aluminum or plastic.

Thanks in advance!

It's a good Q I would say Plastic tbh like all other versions. Then Alu one's to upgrade too. But with them being plastic would worry me slightly with the new designs.. tbh...a lot less material on the upper links to support them.

Yah I wish the kit would come with ALL the aluminum upgrade parts but that is just too much out there.

Honestlly i hope the make these lil fixes, id love nothing more than to roll out a xray for next season, but the sensus around here is "xray cant get it right offroad" i hear that often...hope the lead the way, im not into the durango or the jq and already had the serpent, and currentlly a mbx6. This car has to be up on all the new innovations, and weight balances that the newer run of the crop are runnin to be competitive
