I ship overseas now, and I already have most of the popular parts for the 808 in stock. Prices are about 20% less than A main. Have about $2000 worth of parts on clearence right now at 30-40% less than A main. Making room for all the new stuff.

We can ship overseas if you pay shipping. Get together a list of anything you need and pm it to me. I'll send you a price list and then we can figure out shipping. Again if you don't see the brand in my list just ask. I can probably get it.

Guys,

I heard alot of people had had issues with their pinion bearings on the 808's despite being 2bearing or 3 bearing designs.

HAs anyone put the 10 tooth truck pinion
XRAY Bevel Drive Gear 10T (XT8)
[XRA355108]

Used the front and rear truck bulkheads
XRAY Differential Bulkhead Block Set (Front)
[XRA352000]
XRAY Differential Bulkhead Block Set (Rear)
[XRA352001]

Then used the Kyosho front and rear center universals?

This would keep the final drive ratio the same as stock, but mostly what I've hear is people are pretty much putting the XB8 drivetrain in.

Any reason why you wouldn't want to do this?

Fleck
someone did a mod that sounds like something you are describing. Check on the xray site forums for a guy named mader as he has tried something like what you are describing.

I saw this in person over the weekend at a race. I actually saw it spin, it was like butter. I just ordered all the parts on Monday. Waiting for them to come. You use the bulkhead from the XT8 for front and rear, rear no mods needed on bullkhead, the mp9 universal driveshafts, the truggy pinions and your diffs. You may need the aluminum chassis brace and shave it slightly to fit the rear driveshaft also you need the slightly shave a portion of radio box. The front bulk head will need to be slightly cut with a dremel to make room for the akerman movement, it is a piece that is cut off that is only used on the truggy and not buggy. Use the normal truggy bulkhead bearings. It was the smoothest spinning thing i have seen ever, next to the mp9 of course.

Me too :-)

Just ordered all the parts....actually you need 2 xt8 rear bulkheads.

I'm comming back from the mp9.

I ran my Xray last weekend with 41 tooth active front diff and I was kicking my self in the ass mentally for messing up another season....I just got tired of rear bearings failing.

Can't wait for this fix....and of course for the 2011 808

I have the mod from the xray forum on my car. I am also running the xb8 gears and playing with the ratio. I have found that the car feels better for my driving style with the other gears in it

copied from xray forum, this guy "extra"did all the work:

It is old parts just put together to see if it will fit and work. Now I have put together a new driveline with of course NEW parts. I am not the type that ignores maintenance and I do change parts that are worn out. Thats not only the reason why I am doing this. I am tired of dismounting the bulkheads to check the bearings every race. I am tired of a drivline that not runs as smooth as other drivtrains (Losi, MP9). And it will last a whole lot longer than the other system. I ran a 777WC for a whole season and never had to change bearings because of wearness. I did it as a part of normal maintenance every 3 or 4 race.
It will require some dremel at the batterybox-corner. Approx 2mm. It will not conflict the enginemount even if I place the engine all the way towards the center of the chassis.
Partslist:
2 pcs XT8 10t pinion
4 pcs 8x16 bearings
2 pcs 352001 diffbulkhead XB8 (use the same front and rear)
1 pcs MP9 front axel
1 pcs MP9 rear axel for the 2010 chassis
1 pcs HB D8 rear axel for the old chassis

Some dremel in the batterybox, rear supportbracket and front diffbulkhead is required. The ackerman touches the corners of the bulkhead and 15 sec of dremel is enough.

Is there any disadvantage with this system? NO.
Are there any posetiv???? OHHHHH YEEESSSSSS.

The drivetrain last longer, no more checking of bearings every race, the drivline is so smoothe and runs so much more easyer than any buggy, more runtime pr fueltank, no more 50 pack 13x20mm bearings in my toolbox:-)

Damn, glad I checked this forum, corrected my order as well.

Funny thing is, I used to run the XB8 and a buddy runs an XT8 and this actually made sense to me. I have not even ran my 808 2010 yet. I just know how bulletproof the XB8 is.

Well with this mod, the 808 will be bullet proof, team driver was using it, cutting fastest laps on the track.

those felt spacers are for the shock shafts. I belive most of us are now using shock boots with the up dated lower shock nut.
