what you are describing can only be one of three things:

bad pistons
bent shock shaft
Rocks/mud/gravel/dogfood, jammed in the bottom end caps

Look at the cases roundness most likely not round anymore maybe oval shaped like an egg.

If that not the issue, do you wash your car with shock boots on ?

If so I would suggest you inspect the shock shaft after a wash the metal shafts changes colors a bit and gets some sort of dirt to it, just polish the shaft and try to see if that fixes it.

It could also be your orings being worn out, if not i would check every moving part of the arm being free to drop by itself and make sure its not the shock.

Quick trick to know if it is the shock or not the arms section, remove the shock bottom arm screws an compress if the shock pushes back your in the clear, if not then something in the shock itself.

Also pay attention to the top shock cap screw mounts they can bend and cause a similar issue.

Just found the article on losi thread

Personally I would go with foam inserts instead of orings.

The vented shock caps are only on the Losi 2.0 Euro.
Have you watched the video a few pages back on shouck rebuilding ?

No pics sorry. Just drill a similar sized hole to the bleed hole in the top of the shock cap, so it enters into the crown of the cap which will be inside the bladder when assembled (hope that makes sense).
Cut a Losi or Kyosho compensater foam in half and fit it between the bladder and the cap after you have bleed the shock down to get the correct rebound.
The video by Drake explains it very well.

Ive found with the ribbed bladders ,that you dont need to run the foam in the cap.

Thats what I would have thought also, the bladder from the pics looks much more stiffer then the 09 spec I have on.

Thanks for sharing...

Yup checked out Drake's vid, actually thats a really good video will save me time rebuilding my shocks, hell I have to go through 30 minutes everytime I rebuild them to let the bubbles settle and rebound etc.

At the nitro party I noticed Stanley W. and Hara using vacuum pump to really get rid of the air bubbles, I guess people always look for perfection...

Thanks for the exp Grizz.... hope to see u at the WC..
