Hey Giz, Happy New Years man
We need some pics of the 808 with the MG66 installed - once you have it un-wrapped

just waiting on the refund for the DOA compressor from ebay and I got a cheap deal on an 09 upgrade kit..the body I have is ruined by the crappy wrap and the fuel tank is pressure tight but the fuel clips are ripped off and a few other bits could do with replacing..soon as it's got most bits fitted i'll post pics...

yeh I'm going to get the 09 kit as I need a bodyshell and a fuel tank and I'd like to add the shock boots so I need the shock lower caps and the different lower plastic parts too and the kit is cheaper than all those separately plus it comes with all the ball joint ends etc new as well..later I might just add the 2010 diff housings.the stockists now all seem to have the larger 13x20 bearings in now as well..the cost of 2 housings + 4 bearngs and 2 spacers isn't too bad..I think the longer chassis/rear driveshaft and radio tray can wait till much later if at all..

Giz
You will be suprised as this small change on the chassis has made a great improvement improving its stability & balance further, personally means i can push harder carrying more speed & get away with it.
The chassis & top plate consider the upgrade sooner rather than later. the rear drive shaft for the moment use your old ones up if you have them they work reliably & its what we had in the prototype stage. Replace with new long ones after ( i will get shot for saying that ).

Yes everything fits with exception to the servo tray as the holes in the 10 spec chassis are in a different position because of the servo tray. The driveshaft is a good to have but not emmediate if you want to save money as the 09 spec version sits on the edge of the outdrive but has been ok.. If you case jumps regulary cant guarantee it though.

maybe..is the 2010 upgrade being released as a kit or are we stuck getting it all as separate parts? most are available separately now but I've yet to find a kit advertised.

Is it safe to assume these are all running changes, so If I need a new chassis, I am forced to change my drivetrain and radio tray?

Yes if you want to get the new style chassis you will need the new rear shaft and radio tray.

Or you can still order the old chassis.

Not sure on times scales for an upgrade kit so would say buy seperate for now. i only test the parts & do not get involved in sales.

so they are going to continue the shorter chassis and produce both? Different part numbers?
