Adrian, are you going to swap to a quality car??
Well we're south east of aussie and we may be down under but we're still the first to see the sun each day and 808's by the sound of it

as for changing brands I'm pretty happy with the Losi to date just wish I could get X-ray to make some longer lasting driveshafts for it

I'm looking forward to seeing yours and tims at the north islands next weekend the pics he posted look pretty good

http://rcracer.co.nz/RcCorner/viewto...?t=72&start=15

and if I do change at least I'll be able to use the setups from my Losi

Not far off now, the 808's are in the UK and on the way to the shops so come Monday I shall have mine. A couple magazines already have their kits which where sent out on Thursday, but for the masses including myself its going to be a couple more days.

Only by a day or so . . .

I know of one lucky XRAY fan building his 808 tonight!

Yes, he bought two kits.

Thumbs up 808 A JOB WELL DONE

Well I also was a fortunate one who had the opportunity to pilot a proto-808 at one of if not the biggest indoor races in Canada. Quallifying went incredible out of the 3 runs I chose different tires with small changes each round the first round putting me in 7th overall and the last and final putting me 5th on the grid in a field of 120 of the best drivers/teams around these parts. First time out with the buggy I quickly realized it was much much different than the XB8EC and all of the other models of XB8 since ive been with Xray Canada since 04 its all I knew...untill now!!!

I was very pleased and excited to have this opportunity and it honestly blew me away how it turned, popped over jumps and the difference the shocks made! It was quite clear that the 1 pound wieght loss did so so much but it was much more than that!! Totally impressed!

Just unfortunate I had a receiver pack come apart on me at about the 1 minute mark in the Main couple failsafe hits on the double sent the car cartwheeling right off the track after about 5 to 10 minutes of the failsafe kicking on worse and worse i just pulled off so I wouldnt ruin anyone elses race(Not that it shocked me with durability but it stayed together as all my past cars had) Througout the weekend I pushed the car but not as if it were my own I also recieved a few spares "just in case" but not even opening the bag it was a great weekend!....All I know is its going to be a very interesting season!! Thank You for the opportunity Xray/Mario, Canwest RC/Xray Canada job well done!!

I am sure they want to get them to you as quickly as possible

it must be a question of customs
or shipping of a larger container
by boat

The 808s just take a while to get over here from Slovakia. I'm sure they will spend a few days in customs. It won't be long until we get them!

If I did the math right RC America should have the 808 this week!?!?! or by early next for sure.

Gettin' closer.....

I am hoping I can have mine by early May so I can get her ready for a May 3rd race. That would be great! I would really rather not have to put the electronics back in my TQ if I don't have too.

I wonder how big of a battery can fit in the thing. I would hate to have to get rid of both of my brand new HT lipo's that where in my K cars.
