Quote from David Joor (AvidRC.com ) from the S-Grid Forum

on Sun Apr 13 15:54:40 2008:

Our 5x12 Revolution clutch bearings have been in for a week and we are
doing testing on them before they go up on the site. So once these
cars start hitting the public we should have the bearings ready to go.
Awesome David. Love those bearing.....

I ran the same setup from the SilverState race all weekend just to see if the car stayed consistent, and it did! (I was EXTREMELY happy!)

I spent my whole last saturday rebuilding both, truggy and buggy, and did change a couple things. I went to 40wt oil in the front and I blocked one hole in the pistons in the back to get more packalong with going up a hair in oil in the from 27.5 to 30wt, so we'll see what this is like next time I hit the track!!!

I would think Jason will but I wouldn't hold your breathe on Josh's!

How did you block a hole in the piston? How many holes are there in the pistons?

I would guess CA glue....that's how I do it.

The setup sheet shows 6 holes in the pistons.

Reemed it out and put the smallest grub screw I could find in it. (one that fits on the .050" wrench)

ccm is right, there are 6 holes in the pistons.

I'm not sure what Wheeler ran but all three of our cars are pretty close. Just a few changes here and there to suit driving styles...

I think I have gone through the 808 manual five or six times now! Well, another 2-3 weeks of waiting will be good. I'm having a hard time deciding on using my current C6BB in the 808, or buying a new RB S5 or S7 L2G engine. I have found that I will be faster with an engine with less power overall, but dagnabit, I do love my C6BB!

This will be my first Xray product, and I know that I will be pleased with the outcome.

I'm thinking of putting a Speed in mine. Bigger fun button vs my V-Spec's. Planning to launch off the jumps, and have crazy acceleration.

I would stick with the C6BB, that's a great motor....
