Here's some different views of a painted production 808 body. You can see it differs from Rocco's prototype in no more bulb around the trottle linkage, no bulb above the pipe and nu bulb around the steering rod outlet...

And finally a top view, the overall width of the "canopy" is about 10mm wider on the XB808 body then on a stock XB8 body.

The body doesnt look that bad. It would probably look better in a different color though.

Hi Niklas, thanks for posting those body pics; looks like Xray have made some very welcome adjustments to it... Or it might just be the paint scheme that alters our perception of it; I like it regardless.

Any chance that you could post a few photos of BoB with his body on?

I like flour colors, but not pink. I think we need a sticker that says "My BoB is faster then yours"

BoB clothes on: I would if I could... But I just have the body right now for paint. We got the first team car in this friday and I pulled the body and sent the kit away by Express delivery for our team driver to build it yesterday. I will send the body tomorrow monday to him. My own BoB will hopefully be here with another shipment end of this upcoming week - then I can show you some BoB build pics and yet another painted BoDy.

I am a little suprised where the hole is in the bodyshell for fuel tank access, it looks almost above the tank itself rather than just to the side, going to make for some messy refueling...

How would that make for messy refueling? Just stick a fuel gun in dump it and go seems pretty simple.

You can also cut the fuel hole to any shape that suits you.

Yup. I use a regular ol' fuel bottle myself, and I find it easier to cut out the port-side window and stick the fuel nozzle in from the side. Different strokes for different folks.

Yea I realise you can cut a hole where ever you want, just seems odd that the hole is marked where it is..

The reason the hole is located there, is because the cockpit is moved forwards more than traditional buggy bodie(s). Typically the cockpit is further back, and surrounds the cooling head more. My guess, is X-Ray designed it this way so the cooling head get more free flowing air being more exposed.

Just looks different then what we are use to seeing...
