The one I use:

http://teamhelotes.com/catalog/i1056.html

I melted one down, and my sponsor won't send me another one (understandably so, as I told him not to since it was my dumbass...), so I trade it in and out of my boxes and still lasts for two full races...

RB Filters are the best replacement for the 2008 spec if you cant get the Xray one. The new 09 spec is a smaller filter, so it remains to be seen what replacements will work for that.

You cant beat this 10 pack with oil for $15.99, and the oil is very good.

Here is what mine looks like ready to roll. Also you can get those dry layer filter covers on ebay, if you want your motors to last a long time. Josh Wheeler runs them.

I know its short notice, but just wanted to let my fellow XRAY drivers know that there is a 100% payback money race hapening on the 4th of april, in Hot Springs Ar. The track is sweet, and there will be a lot of great racing. For more info visit rc-offroad.net and click on Wolf pack raceway thread. Would love to have some of you come up and help XRAY take it all home.

Here are some pics that dont do it justice, there are also some video under the "crew pic of the first series race" thread on RCO. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I wish I could make it to keep those Oklahoma guys from winning anything....

But it's the same weekend as Silver State.

Dont worry, I think I have Trevor and Skids covered. I just mounted a huge RPM bumper on my buggy. Can you say T-BONE?

If I can get a good deal on an 808 would it be worth it to get that and upgrade to 09 specs or to simply drop the extra dollars on the 09 kit? From what I've seen, it doesn't seem like the difference is all that drastic between the two models.

I guess the phrase "West coast is the best coast" also applies to R/C.

Only bad side is you will either go broke or lose your job because you're in the hobby all year long with no time for your wallet to recover.
