I spent the entire night fighting a "loose on exit" issue. I tried tires, springs, shock oil, and still there. I'm going to try diff oil next. I can't push the car at all, but I'm sure once I get the loose issue fixed, I'll be alot more comfertable with it.

Sweet! 1st race 3rd place...XRAY for life!

I am going to get the new kit. I already have all of the optional springs, sway bars, caster blocks etc. for the 08 model. Will these all stay the same? I know that some of the stock part numbers will be upgraded, but all the optional will not, correct?

With so many people posting on here about going to LH, I was wondering who would be going to their Presidential race on the 22nd of February. I plan on attending this and would like to know who else will.

well, congratulations doug. I think the first race I competed in with my 808 rusulted in a second place finish.

I do like the changes they made on the 808. I am attached too much to my buggy, so I'll just buy the upgrades. I like the new body, but believe it or not, I still like the orriginal 808 body.

But I will be buying the XT8 as soon as the updated kit is available. that has too many upgrades to make me want to buy a conversion kit.

well, i went back to the track today to work on setup. after changing diff oil in center and rear, camber links, wheel base, along with shock oil, springs, and tires that i changed last night, it's comming around. i was able to attack the track today and i got comfertable with the car. i ran 3 or 4 fuel bottles today, got the motor fully broke in. i'm happy with my 808. i did a timed fuel run and got almost 11 minutes out of my v-spec on a re11 losi pipe and a 8mm restricter. so yea, i think i made a good choice.

i'm running the older tank and i was wondering how much bigger the new 808 tank is? and is it leagel?

Hey guys, I tried the active diff out for the first time in my 808 this weekend, and it was amazing, I didn't think the buggy could get any better but the off power steering was amazing and the on power was awsome as well. Definately worth buying.

Default Active diff

Miles,

What kind of track do you run on with the active diff? Smooth, high traction etc. Or is it blown out?

Thanks

This weekend I was running on a smooth high traction track that was farely tight and technical, It was my first time trying it so I haven't been able to try it on a outdoor track that is little more blown out.

i'm going to put a fuel filter on to gain a little more in size. i tell you guys one thing, i was worried about the tank getting all the fuel. comming from losi and running a clunk, i was shocked to not even find one drop left in the tank after my timmed run. i just hope i didn't make junk out of my glow plug.

Doug, I'm sorry, I laughed out loud when I saw the pic of your body on the last page..... Lol!!!

TEXpert didn't help you with your setup?!?! Nah, if the car is pretty good everywhere until you apply power, 90% of the time, its going to be the diffs as those are what distributes the power. At Indy, I run 4-4-7, yes 7 in the rear. If dives in the corners and has a slight push on power so it really lets you get into the throttle sooner and as much as you want with confidence.

thats messed up laughing at my body, i'd expect that from JAZ "the choke master, i drive so it looks like my car tip toes around the track so slow that there should be a tue tue on it, (or pink fer)", 240...

i started with 5-5-3, and ended with 5-7-2. how bad is the push with 7 in the rear? i went to 7 in the middle trying to put more power to the front to pull out of the turns better and dropped to 2 in the rear to counter the thicker middle. i'll think about your setup, sounds crazy, but sometimes crazy works..
