But as has been pointed out more than enough times, these things are all 4WD with 3 diff's and 4 wheels, so ultimately will look similar. Just was surprised by how similar these 2 are. But with Xray build quality it'll be awesome i'm sure.

Cheer up dude, the moment will pass and the jokes will stop ........ honest

not the poster.. but its all good to me.. I vowed to buy the first of the new crop of buggies to be designed like the losi.. as I believe a few more will be coming.. it just so happens a company I have always wanted to run stepped to that plate first..
Losi is a good car with lots of good ideas.. its just sloppy...

Ok.

It's the same thing on the onroad side of things, you see all of these people that are loyal to the XRAY onroad can trying to further the thread and information on it, and it only takes one complete tool to come and set back everything just to say some unintelligent remark thinking they are the most original, funny guy on the whole internet.... Show me the guys that frequent the XRAY onroad thread that go troll the other threads?

Seriously, show some class and intelligence when you are thinking about posting, that's all I, and others, ask.

PS, I'm plenty cheery.

Rocco, A couple questions:

Now that you (And other X-Ray Drivers) have had some time on the 808, how are the pins on the front & rear drive line wearing? Also how is the carbon steering ackerman plate holding up to the wear and tear not being made of metal? Do they have bushings, or strait carbon? How much life are you getting out of the two 5x12 Clutch bearing?

Thanks Rocco...

By chance do you know if the kit will come with tires? If so what make of Pro-Line's? CF'ers?

I want to start this with a big knock on wood, haha!

The pins are showing a little wear but that's to be expected with the angle. After the two bigger races I've run it, they are about 0.3mm smaller in diameter, but then again, these are prototype cars and the materials may not be of final production composition.

All of the carbon components on my car are still the original pieces, none of us have broken the shock towers. My steering rack is still slop free. After looking at it, the screws that secure the steering bushings to the rack, secure the rack and pivot in the servo saver posts, so nothing actually rotates in the carbon steering rack. The rack is straight carbon without inserts.

I haven't been able to sit down and test the life of a set of clutch bearings yet, but I had over a gallon on my original set before I removed them for the mains at Silver State, and they still felt smooth.

The only slop in the car after the two races is in the steering which is from my Non-XRAY aluminum servo horn!

The kit won't include tires, sorry!

No kidding? Is it a straight bolt-in fit? Hmmm... I'll have to look into that, especially since they're easy to come by.

I'm as guilty as anyone of making the "It's a Losi" jokes... but in all seriousness, holy cow, this car looks GOOOOOOOD!

(And the "8ight 0 8ight" is funny!) Sorry if that offends anyone...

It's the first car that I've seen and said "I think I should get THAT!" We all know nobody matches XRay for quailty and durability... now they've stepped up with a new design (yes, obviously based somewhat on the Losi) that raises the bar. I don't know about being one of the first to get a new car though... I have enough trouble driving a car that someone else already figured out how to set up properly.

Does the manual still include "The 1/8 Scale Offroad Chassis Tuning Bible?"
