They are from a company called Photon RC, but they are out of business. The only ones I can find now are from Upgrade, but they are solid colors only

Default possible fuel tank problems?

Have any of you had a tank cause flame outs? I mysteriously began flaming out over and over. I first assumed a plug, I replaced that. Then clutch, bearings and springs. I replaced the complete clutch. I also got out my spare motor and same issue. The flame outs are erratic on or off throttle. Also tried new air filters(dif.brands also)and fuel tubing. Primary motor is a ninja jx .21 with just 1 gallon of fuel thru it. The 2nd motor is a ninja b01 .21 which has been pinched and new connecting rod with about 1 1/2 gallons thru it. Only run odonnell 30% and odonnell med.plugs. Never had flame out problems b4. Assuming its the fuel tank??? Any thoughts??

I have not had any issues, but someone else on this thread a few pages back got like 2 or 3 bad gas tanks. They were leaking, so he dropped in a Mugen tank which was a direct fit. You should try changing out the tank, and see if that solves your problem

Thumbs up Filter Covers and Shock Covers for Xray 808

You can get the shock covers made specifically for the 808 to fit loose so as not to change spring ratio here:

http://stores.ebay.com/UndergroundRCParts

They also have matching dry layer filter covers in Hi-flow and standard styles that really make those filter foams last. I recommend the Fluorescent Green Hi-flow covers for race day and the standard covers for practice. Trust me once you run these they will become part of your toolbox permanently.

Its also nice that the shock covers are not tight like Jaz's because it can affect performance.

I also have the Underground covers but mine dont really fit right, they are too short, and I cant tuck the ends under the springs. The ones I have are not made for the big bore shocks, but I haven't noticed any difference in shock performance, but I am new to racing, once I run the Underground ones, I'll let you know if I feel any difference, since they are loose.

For you motor mount guys extended & non are both back in stock.I ordered mine last week, maybe I got yours. either way out of stock for only 2 days aint bad. Carolinas say they make their re-supply orders twice a week so even if back order is shown check back in a day or 2. If you cant seem to find 808 parts digging through their links type in 808 in the search field & watch how many unfindable parts show up,that works at all the online stores.
