The thing I really like about the Indos from Avid is how smooth they grab. And almost no fade. Whenever I service the center diff I usually give a light sanding to refresh the surface. Just like new. And last for ever!

I dont know if it was a bad batch but I got my buddy a 20 pack of clutch bearings for his RC8 and he hated em. He was going through 2 sets a weekend. DNF'd him a time or 2. Dunno I NEVER had issues with mine. But for a buck it don't hurt to swap em out when you have it tore down.

I have to say tough that stock Xray bearing are the chit though.

I groved my cap & put mugen boots on last night but cant tell if I went deep enough, guess I'll find out saturday.I used 4mm bolt through the cap & a nut on the outside then chucked that in the drill press & used a dremmel on the rears & tried a file on the fronts. Like I said not sure if I did it right but at this point anythings better than mud in my shocks after 1 race day.

http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Attachme....aspx?pid=9901

this is the attachment i use (or they make others like it that will work) but all i do is go around the shock cap unitl im am even with the bottom of the grooves( i dont know the technical term for them) but it goes from this ---------> ^^^^^^^^^ all the way around it to this --> _________ and i grind it all the way around like that half way down the lenght of the grooves ( about 2-3mm)

also i used losi and kyosho boots but i like the kyosho ones better as they are a tighter fit up top.

my car is on its way to the worlds right now so when i get up there ill snap a few pics and send them to the guys that emailed me

Leon I dont think I would trust my self using that bit when I said Dremmel I forgot to say with a cut off wheel about 1/2 down the flat part of the cap, about 2mm below the knurling. Is that where others are grinding? I dont have any losi boots right now to check but if I remember right losi boots would be too big around for where I made my groove.Like I said I'll find out tomarrow how they stay on & keep my fingers crossed I dont break the caps in 1/2 from grinding too much.

I just got through building my kit. Here's what I used to do mine.Find a 4mm bolt and run it through the cap with a nut or in my case an old starter box alignment plastic nut to make an arbor.I then chucked the bolt up in my drill to spin the cap and used the dremel to cut a groove out in the cap.I held th dremel at the angle you see in the pics. Here's a couple of pics of what mine looked like.

that is exactly what i do for the most part with that same bit. except i do it to the top of the cap not in the middle. if you do it at the top you dont have to grind it at an angle. i do it from the top about a 2-3mm area all the way around but thats about dead nuts. thanks for posting those

and like i said kyosho accordian style boots are the best hands down

like i said though as soon as i get to charlotte and get in front of my car again ill post some pictures of it

Report from last night is all boots stayed on & caps didnt break in 1/2,lucky me.I thought for sure I went too deep on one of them.

I ran the old worn avid rotors last night & after getting every thing set how I like it they worked just as well at the TTR rotors, had more room by the flywheel & I wont have to be so careful when cleaning monday.GOOD deal, now I just wait till the new ones to show up.

Leon, I sent your bodies with Jason, in case my message didn't get thru. I also sent JR's nose peice along.

Get a pic or two of the bodies mounted up if you can? Or maybe they will take pics on the Podium?
