Derek, you have got to be kidding me...

If a "reviewer" for your magazine ACTUALLY copied and pasted this review, not only should HE be out of a job but you should as well for not catching it.

If I were XRAY, I would be urinated off that you let the "average Joe" do such an important review. Good call, Derek. This isn't the "XRAY 808 RTR" it is a race machine, worthy of it's own unique review. Not a hack job.

How long is Mike going to let this nonsense go on? Does he care this little for the mag?

I have watched the quality of your magazine go downhill steadily for several years. Bess leaving was the final straw. He was the last bit of credibility that your magazine had.

If this is what is passing for standard operating procedure, then you (and ultimately Mike) are showing the readers how little effort this magazine is worth. Don't worry, your subscribers will take care of this problem.

Now for some fact-checking, Bess didn't start at "XTREME" he started at "Car Action" and was there for years.

magazine reviews are someones opinion anyway, just like yours or mine. But are they honest or is there some dishonest things going on. Im sure there are. Lets say one company gives you more product to test than the other, or maybe money. This happened years ago with Motocross Action and Suzuki Motor Corp. Suzuki actually stopped giving them bikes to do there shootouts. Many believe Honda had a big wallet. You have to make your own decisions when its all said and done, even though you want to believe what all the magazines say. By the way ive riden Suzukis all my life. There is 1 808 at our track and it looks very good, im battling with it right now in our series. No broken parts or wearing is what the owner has said. I looks very good

So overall what everybodys opinion of the 808?

I am asking because I am starting to loose faith in my 8ight. It started out the best buggy I have had and not it seems like the worst! I haven't been able to finish a main the last 2 months! Always breaking something. I am on my last chance with the buggy this next 2 weeks will see if I keep it or sell it on ebay and get either an Xray or an O'donnell...

Is it great out-a-the-box or are there "hop-ups" needed before ya get it on the track?

Thanks!

Im in the same boat as you thecman26

although my car is a rc8, had a few issues with it nothing end of the world but its a concern people that i was consistently beating have bought an 808 and they are now beating me they all say the same thing so easy so consistent so much grip!!

after the gp this weekend all the rc8 cars were broken some rather badly a guy who put brand new plastics and rebuilt car went round a corner and the rear completely snapped off was slightly amusing but not exactly good to see

im having a go of a 808 this weekend and im going to see how i feel after that, but the rc8 is going to have to be on the ball this sunday thats for sure

Ironic getting a lesson on ethics from a man who's stolen someone's radio.
