Thed 808 uses 5x12 bearings. Why do you need a 12t? Stock is 16t. That is a BIG drop.

Anyone looking for a slightly used 808 I have mine on here for sale. Got to get out of 8th scale for a while.

Also have a new in package motor mount and rear hinge pin holders listed there as well. Good deal for both for anyone looking for them.

Can anyone confirm whether or not the wings from a TQ/EC will work on the 808, is the spacing the same?

I've got 8 NIP wings and 1 used wing that I'm looking to sell in one lot.

Got to race my 808 for the first time last night, and WOW this car is awesome! I was running Rocco's setup except I went up to a 2.6mm sway bar up front (I think thats the size, next up from stock) because I had some traction rolling issues. After doing that the buggy was sooooo hooked up. I could steer under every single car on the track, and it was so easy to drive as well.

My fast lap at this track with my 8ight was a 35.4 second, with my 808 I ran a 33.2! My average lap times in the main were up as well, from the mid 37s to the low 35s. Oh, the 33.2 is the track record btw.

Anyway, to anyone out there with an 8ight thinking of upgrading, do it. Not ragging on the 8ight at all, but the 808 is both faster and easier to drive for me, so thats a big win-win.

Thanking of getting a XRay808 but I like how easy maintenace is on my Losi8 so I was woundering how easy maintenance is on the XRay808 like taking the radio tray, fuel tank and engine out for cleaning?

Thumbs up Xray Shock Boots and Covers

I've posted this once before, but I've found these work really well and they are cheap n reusable. They also keep the mud out of the spring cups on the bottom of your shocks. The Outerwears brand cost way to much money at $18.00 + tax. These you can pick up for $9.99 and they are made to fit loose on the 808 and specifically designed for the 808. I also tried the Badhorsie covers, but they are way too tight and fell apart after two runs. You can get these ebay ones in tons of colors. I tried Losi rubber boots also but they fell off easy, and zip tying a balloon or glove finger every time gets a bit tedious.

These are really the highest quality covers out right now and they are worth every penny. Thats my .0005 cents.

Mine installed:

Here is the link where you can find them, they are only on Ebay. Not too many know about this ebay store so here ya go...:

The front and rear diff case only has four screws and two underneath the chassis securing the bumper. The center diff has only four as well. Much easier than the Losi that's for sure.

Looks like the 808 had a good showing at the pre-world having 3 cars in the top 10. Thing are looking up for X-Ray in the US.

I can promise you will not find an easier car to work on! The only kink are the center drives, you have to remove the diffs to get them out, other than that, regular maintenance, 6 screws you have the tank and motor in your hand. 9 screws (including steering linkage and throttle servo horn) you have the whole radio tray (in one piece) in your hand...

The whole wing assembly carries over from the older cars.
