Failed Glow Plug Analysis
Hi Guys,
To make things short, I have two dead glowplugs, and was wondering how to 'read' them. One has its coil darkened tremendously (*DGP#1 seems to have a coat of carbon too ), and the other is as if it's new (*DGP#2 coil is visually brand new, shiny and all, but lasted for 3/4 tank ). What could be the cause of death? Perhaps either one is running too rich or lean....but that's just a guess. Also, is there any kind of benchmark on glow plug longetivity? Thanks :spidey: *DGP - Dead Glow Plug |
