YES, the diffs are sealed. I am currently replacing the turnbuckles w/Lunsford Superduty's and I am making swaybars for the front and rear.

Sealed diffs are good. are all gears steel? If not, which ones are (if any)?

Thanks for posting all those pics. I'm have a good overall idea of the buggy, now I just need some durability feedback. If I buy this, I plan to use it to just bash at my track and around the street. I have a few rides to race with, but would like something "cheaper" to just mess around with. So if this can take on a 1/8th style off-road track without contantly breaking, then I think I'm sold.

Default QUESTIONS?

Hey everyone, if you have any questions at all, please post them in this thread. That is why I started it. I want to help anyone who has questions and I would like to learn things from others as well. Dont be afraid to post questions or comments! That's how we all learn! Thanks -Brad

Now to answer a question that was PM'd to me:

As for upgrades, the easiest things to do immediatly to make the DBX/DST a little more durable are:

1. Upgrade to Titanium Turnbuckles. You will also need Ball studs - 2-3/8" for the front (I didnt replace the rear yet)

2. I got the HPI 1/10 scale dish wheels (they have black) they fit the 12mm axle nut that the DBX/DST uses. They keep little rocks from getting stuck in those little holes in the wheels! Plus they look cool!

3. I am checking into new dogbones. I havent decided on a brand yet, but I am researching it.
other than these simple thins there is not alot available for this vehicle yet.(cause its so new to the market)

I was told by the people at Kyosho taht there will be many upgraded parts available in the near future! Cant wait to see!

Here is a link to a good book that will help you with the maintenance of any RC vehicle be it Nitro or Electric. Has excellent step by step directions and a lot of detailed photos for the reading impared(like myself)

the book is called "RADIO CONTROL PERFORMANCE PLUS"

I didnt get a chance to get it broken in yet, I am hoping that I will get a chance this weekend if the weather cooperates. I need to get some slicks and get them glued on so I can go down there and run it. Thanks for the offer to help! That would be great cause Im sure I will need all the help I can get. I just need the ground to dry out a bit before I get dirt brought in. I dont want to be working with a muddy mess. I'll keep you posted on the Track situation. What are the vehicles in your avatar. They look pretty cool!
