If I was to run my electric (on road or off road) against nitro I would expect to be in a separate class like LeMans.I think seeing both classes running together would be cool to watch. Just my 2 cents.

I run My brushless Conversion with the Nitros and never heard a complaint, there is really no andvantage, Nitro motors already put down more power than most of us can truly handle, and so do electrics so its all about the driver chosing how much of their power to use, but I will say the Electrics have an advantage, if there is a very small runup to a jump or whatever and you need to just pin it to make it then the Electrics have the advantage but otherwise there is no real advantages. As always it is 90% driver 10% Car or whatever percentages you think.

With your brushless/lipo conversion do you see a power drop towards the end of the mains? Is it as strong after 20 minutes as it is in the beginning? How about 30 or 45 minutes? Just curious. I don't know much about the 8th electric scene.

Thanks,
Scott

I think they should run together, makes it more fun. If you are just beginning, you probably just want to race with whatever you have. If you are seriously invested into rc, then convert to brushless or invest in nitro (whichever is dominating at your track) or get left behind lol.

i agree i think the more cars on the track the better, you would also be able to see the comparison between the two around the track

Before I sold my BL truggy, I could run for over 40 mins, it runs 100% the same, until about 15 sec's before the LVC kicks in......

Now I have my BL CRT.5, all EXT rc monster style =)

We run mixed races at our Sat club races all the time. I don't mind it i think its fun to have more cars on the track. Im with SKOT about changing rules to help them run a shorter main......
