RedCat Volcano (Only Please)
 

Yep i got one and have found bits and pieces of info here and there about it. Thought we could get our own designated thread. Any issues you have come accross with the "Redcat Volcano" please share it here. Do not tell us how we should have bought something else. We didn't and please don't waist the time typing here. Issues i'm interested in are.

1-Has anyone actually driven it alongside another 1/10th scale truck with comparable motors.

2-Has anyone tried to actually race it.

3-Problems and how you fixed it.

4-Good stories of what you have done with your Volcano.

5-Best place you have found for parts.

6-Any existing well known parts that do fit.

7-Thank you for helping us fellow Volcano owners, and hopefully i will also be able to add some good info.

I got one last year for X-mas and it was a good starter for me i did not take good care of it like i did not break the motor in right just put fuel in it and just hammered it broke alot of stuff upgraded to the aluminum parts never raced against another 10th scale before but my buddy had a Revo and we ran together pretty good

For a guy with less than a year of experience you sure post a lot trying to sound like you know what the hell is going on. :nod:

I dont know a hole lot the trhead is for people who have Volcano r/c cars and i had one im just passing on what i did to mine so back off not saying im a pro but i have learned from misstakes from people that do know what they are doing and if they don't i pm you sense you think you got the answers for everything:):):):):)

Well the prices look very newB friendly, but I have never seen anybody with one.

well i think that the redcats would be a good beginner...i would like to see one in person...

When you first get it plug in and charge the glow plug ignighter wether you are going to use it or not. It takes 10 hours to charge so don't plan on going out with a buddy later in the day. OOOOps

I havent had too many of these come into my shop up here but i know one thing to hop up is you can use 2.2 1/10 truck wheels. From what i know the originals are weak at the hub. Although the 2.2's would be smaller in diameter it will give far greater response, durability and tire selection.

that would be pretty much every glow plug igniter...
