Default someone please help///.18 in buggy

I know I saw somewhere where a pro driver used a .18 engine in his 1/8 buggy instead of a .21. Ive searched and cant find anything. If someone can help me out with a link I would sure appreciate it.

I believe the driver was pavidis but Im not for sure on that.

Thanks.

I doubt that pavidis used a .18 in his kyosho buggy, he usually runs the OS V-Spec .21 engine. I have seen someone put an OS .18 TZ into a Jammin CRT truggy though.

Pavidis used a .18 in practice I think. He could still beat all of us even with a .12 TC motor with no torque.

Rosetti ran a os 18 in his losi 8ight. from what I saw he just needed to machine a new motor mount to get it to line up right.

Anyone have a link to someone who has done it? I know Pavidis normally runs a v spec but I was pretty sure that it was him who ran a .18 in a race where power was not needed and he wanted to get better fuel efficiency.

Seems like I heard he done that at the pre worlds race.....lots of rain made the track real slick.

Im a fairly new driver and when I run indoors the track is tight with no big jumps so I figure no need for the extra power.

Anyone know of anyone who makes a mount to mount a small block in a
1/8 scale?

i just noticed that my CRT.5 engine mounts will fit into my mugen buggy...also the CRT.5 mounts are the sliding type, so that would give you all the adjustability you need...

Sweet that might be the answer. I wanna run this .18 in my crt.5 and try it out in my hyper 7 buggy. I believe the crt.5 and hyper 7 mounts are the same so my question may have been answered. I never even thought of that. Thanks.

The Hyper 7 might be a bit to heavy for the .18. I could see it in an eight or similar where they are so light...
