Default New Nitro Rc Store

Hello, this is my second post on these forums! I am going to start a Ebay store and when I earn enough revenue I am going to start a website like Hobbytron.com. But I have a problem well actually more than one! But only one that people on these forums can answer. We can open up this Ebay store at anytime, but we don't know what kind of RC TO SELL! We are going to sell Traxxas products that we know. But for a starting online store we are going to sell less expensive products! If anyone has imformation and possibly a link please I can not stress this enough post a LINK to the webpage of this company. Keep in mind that we are a retailer not a buyer. So we want to become a dealer and buy WHOLESALE products! Any replies is well appreciated!

- Happy Holidays-

You could check with TeamVTX. They make really affordable quality cars, but for racing (1/8th scale buggy/truggy) and for fun (1/16th scale buggy/truggy). Check them out at www.teamvtx.com.

Good luck and I wish you well in your new endeavor!

Speaking from experience... All manufacturers, vendors, and distributors require, at a minimum, a business certificate and a sales tax license. Some industries also require a store front before they will sell to you at "dealer" prices and request pictures of inventory and proof of lease. Some have a minimum opening order and they are usually not cheap... $5,000 - $15,000 "dealer" costs of product. Some also require an on-going monthly minimum order to keep "dealer" status.

MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) is usually enforced and if caught selling out of MAP you can loose your "dealer" status.

Horizon Hobbies and Great Planes are two places to start.

If you "don't know what rc to sell" then you probably don't have enough insight into the hobby to sustain a business. I know that's harsh but I only say it to help you save your hard earned and saved cash.

Far too many nice, well intentioned lovers of the hobby think they can run a hobby shop only to lose their ass. If you've not been successful in another business and/or have an MBA don't try it.

I now expect the bashing to begin....

I actually agree with satoch. Running an ebay store is alot diffrent then a real one or even a online one. You have to be competative and its hard to do that. I Like to buy parts online even on ebay, but for big purchases I usually go through my LHS or a well known online shop like tower or A-main. A rep like theirs takes years to build.

Default I Am New To Rc But Not To Online Stores, I Have My Own Store!

I have eight years experience with a store, (I sell electronics) but it is not online! (THIS IS MY BROTHERS ACCOUNT) My brother is going to get a T-Maxx 3.3 for Christmas and he has one other Rc and he has showed me all these videos about Rc on youtube. So I am trying to get into the buisiness and take a piece of the Rc pie. I think that it is a interesting product to sell and maybe I will open up a real hobby store someday WHO KNOWS! But other than that thanks everyone!

Yeah, PM me a link to the site. Keep in mind that I count shipping as part of the total sell price.
