I spoke with Billy Easton for over an hour about this buggy. This thing flew at the Illinois Indoor Nitro Championships at Leisure Hours Raceway in Joliet, IL this on Dec. 1-2.

No rear chassis brace? The track didn't look rough enough to warrant that...

It has a rear brace. It's not much of one though. It's a small piece of "L" shaped bent metal that's not very thick. It's a prototype.

i hope it is tougher than the serpent 720, I hit an air pocket on the straightaway with that car and it shattered into pieces

looks more like that durango version of the s3. I cant remember the name it was an overseas race and he beat scott hughes. I will see if i can find it!

It looks like the Durango version because it is the Durango buggy. Just the throttle/brake servo is turned 90 degrees, CF shock towers and a few other little changes. That's why it's a prototype work in progress.

what the hell is with the throttle linkage? the carb is rotated...what the?????

If you'll notice, by rotating the carb, the battery and servo can be placed adjacent to the motor to offset that weight. And that is good for balancing the buggy.
