Engine for CRT.5?
Trying to decide on which engine I should choose for the CRT.5
- Standard .12 Picco Engine
- RB V12 3 Port http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/12989
- RB V12 5 Port http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/12990
- OS .12TZ EB Mod 5 Port http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/8457
- OS .12TZ EB Mod 3 Port http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/8456
Would I notice a difference between the standard .12 Picco against the other 4 engines?

I just dropped a OS .18 in mine. Didn't get to break it in today because of rain.

I run an OS12TZ 5port. It has lots of power and top end. All of the
engines that you have listed are top of the line. Just remember, some
tracks will not let you run 5 port engines in the .5 class. They let
me get away with it if I use a restrictor in the carb. Which does'nt
make any noticeable difference any way. Also all of these engines
listed have a lot of pinch, so use a heat gun and take your time
breaking in your fresh engine. It's a pain in the ars to do properly.
But when your engine runs so much better and lasts longer than
the others around you, then you'll be happy you took that extra
time. Good luck.

I'm running a Novarossi NSR 12S3. That has penty of power and good run time.
I would stick with the OS, Picco or RB 3 port motors. Going to 5 ports is a lot of RPM's. If you are racing, a 3 port is in my opinion more controlable.

Of the RB engines a better option than the V12 3p is the Speedline Matrix RW!
the bottom end and midrange is Phat and it looses nothing on top!
Oh, did I mention that it's $200 cheeper than the V12.
