Hi all, anyone here hear about balance out wheel? I know some is balancing their turggy wheel but not sure do buggy wheel need to be balance. If need then which is best tool to buy. Please advise and thanks.

I use a 17mm hub and wheel nut as adapter for the balancer. It's not as nice as the other one, but it works great.

Doesnt matter what you run all tyres need balancing.
The bigger the more critical it is. I balance all my tyres no matter what class or vehical. I use a Dubro prop balancer and use blu tact as weight.

This is the one I use and it does not show it , but all sizes are done using only one step arbor. It is a really strong unit with a heavy base so it will not tip. I no longer use the putty as dirt seems to stick to it extremely well, so I now use lead tape with wonderful results. It really does make a difference!

I agree.. not sure on the price of the ultimate racing one.. but the prop balancer can be found at most hobby shops..

I took it one step further....... Order a 8mm drill blank from Mcmaster - carr
or any machine supply place.. then drill and tap a 17mm hub .. run a grub screw ( set screw ) of choice.. and wallaw.. a super solid way to mount and true your 1/8 buggy and truggy tires...

yes.. with the prop balancer....
www.mcmaster.com part number 2900A358 I believe is the one I used.. there are others if you search.. definately worth the 6$ investment made finding centers a snap!! no guess work..

Ultimate Racing's Tire balancer, the one mad for balancing tires, will be in stores in the next couple of weeks. The first shipment into the USA will on it's way the middle of this week. I can tell you rightaway that A Main hobbies will hve the balancer and UR products as soon as they hit the states.

If I see a tire on my buggy bouncing like crazy on my starter box as I rev the engine then I balance it. If not, I don't.

I balance everything..... will say the bigger the tire the larger the difference in driving feel... However.. I have noticed a increase in bearing life under normal conditions since I started this... I used to get sloppy wheel bearings ( in and out play. bearing still spun freely.) about every 2 months. in 1/8.. and truggy... now Im at 3 months and bearings are still tight.. and thats even with a big 3 day weekend race thrown in there!!

I used to balance only what was visible... the largest difference in your driving that you will notice will be adjustments made in the air seem like you are more in control... not as abrupt...

I found after I balanced my truggy wheels it didn't seem to get tossed around in the rough stuff as much, along with the other stuff mentioned,

Using molded foams seems to greatly decrease the need to balance.
