NovaRossi N21B 2000 or 2001 BF?

Need some help. Is there any difference in the performance of these 2 motors? The external changes are evident, but I would like to hear from racers about the performance differences if any. Thanks, Sam

If im not mistaken the 2000 is a 3 port and the 2001 is a 5 port. I think the 2001 has more top end power but the 2000 has more rpm.

the 2001 is a 3 port.....(that is what i was told from someone i know that has one) just a new version of the n21bf.......

on the track from what I could tell, they are much the same......

the 2001BF uses a P5x case, so they have different bearing sizes, i found that out the tough way :weird:

i have a R21BF <rex mill>and it the same motor as the 2001bf i need a conrod for mine . its the same part number for the 2001bf but a-main seems to always be out of stock! the motor is at about 8 gallons and still has good pinch and pop , it screams too in my truggy!anyone know where i can find this conrod! im not ready to give up on this motor yet:sneaky: its been sitting in its box since march. im ready to run it some more so i dont wear out my speed on a track that doesnt need that kind of power

I am pretty shure you can use a GO rod. I know for a fact you can on some other Rossi models. Not shure about that 1 and they only cost $20.

If im not mistaken, and I may be.....the "limited" bf has the p5xs crankcase(hence the larger rear bearing) AND p5xs carburetor.........if you guys need Novarossi parts/service hit up Houston here on the boards..........im sure he will chime in on this when he see's it:nod:

AFAIK, the P5X & P5XS cases were the same. Its the P5 that had a smaller 25.4 rear bearing and 3 screw carb. P5X/P5XS had 25.8 rear bearing and 2 screw carb.
