Hope this helps,

Thnk you, I ran different bladders last year, I'm going to try this.

Scott you talking moulded foam or proper foam inserts, just an idea but does the center part of the airfilter foams not fit or they to small / big ??

cheers Jason

similar system i used to use for venting tyres, sharpened piece of brass tube just push or hammer (small hammer) through tyre, I have since got hold of a leather punch which is the luxury item lol.

Molded ofna yellow foams, you knowthe ones that nobody uses Maybe the airfilter foam would work I do know that when i first started playin with this concept i noticed that the different foam made the shocks feel different. So keep in mind the firmness of the foam you choose will affect the shock some. Just food for thought.

I raced my mbx6 this weekend. The was standing on my shelf since the previous season ended. The just stays awesome! It's jump far and great, you can push it so hard and it eats bumps and ruts (finished 2nd btw)

Can't wait to try the new springs!

yes - these are the ones I have on mine. You just need to taper the edges a bit.

I felt that venting the cap (2mm hole) helped, really. Think about it - our issue without the foam is that the bladder collapses and stay collapsed, the air that was trapped behind must have gone swhere, right? Either in the oil, or outside the cap, and it stayed there.... both are bad. Might as well vent it to prevent any pneumatic side effects so the air goes outside on compression and back in on extension.

What's funny is that we're still talking the same tricks that were described almost 2 years ago soon after the car came out

Can't wait to race nitro - I am going through a pre-season cleanup as we speak and the mbx6 remains a great design, the material quality is just superb. I just replaced the bones pins with the hudy tool ($$$), waiting for my new KO's to come it (erg-vb's have had it, 2 full seasons now) and the car is ready to rock and roll for one more season, woohoo!!!

Wondering about the new chasssis though, I never found anything I didn't like with the older one, but still... could be tempted.

Can someone post the link to the brake disc they are using for the mod. About to place an order on Amain and want to get it right the first time. Thanks!!

Shinnbad, Ran the 10,10,7 It really worked nicely car was noticeably different. I think I will either square off at 10,10,10 or go up to 15,15,10 took 2nd this weekend. I'm still making some dumb mistakes but its all good. The car is feeling better and better each week. Not sure I'm going to run the new chassis yet I don't think there is anything wrong with old one. I am going to try the new springs though.

Thanks Again

All

scanning the last few pages to figure out what's new after not visiting this thread for a while (winter = EP ).

So new lengthened chassis, new springs - why did they went to a smaller wire? I mean, how different can a N/cm rate can be from another N/cm? I don't get it... I mean, other than making sure everyone shelfs out more cash Any educated insight?

thanks
Paul

if you have 2 springs with same wire diameter then the spring with less windings is harder. (look at the old springs).
If the distance between the windings of the new springs is even getting bigger and you want to keep the spring rate the same you need to reduce the wire diameter.

The old springs have a more liniear feel.
The new ones will feel more progressive.

Awsome, good job this weekend. You will like he new springs, I am currently running 8.0 on the front and 8.25 on the rear. Dont be affraid to go up on the diffs. it just gets funner to drive. If the track gets really rough or blown out the 10,10,10 might be a better choice. Congrats on your 2nd place and keep me posted on what you think about the springs.

ps. im indoors in IL. so dont know if the spring will be the same ones for outdoors.
