I had the 6R and now the 7. Id say the 7 is more of a racecar than the 6. we were all slower in the beginning with the 7 while learning off bad habits. I think more people can be faster with the 6 right out of the box though. it has a wider tuning window…ie you can get away with a less than perfect setup. not that the 7 is difficult to setup or anything, it just reacts to small changes alot more than the 6. That said…once the 7 was dailed in it was miles faster than the 6 for me. i dropped a full second off my fastest laps everywhere without trying that hard. unfortunately everyone else with a 7 also dropped their lap times haha. the 7 has a crapload of rear traction..it allows you to stop chasing rear grip after the breakin period and instead you are abled to put it all on and start taking it off in increments. in a drag race the 7 will put the 6 to shame as well. it gets up to speed VERY fast, and carries the speed through the corners amazingly. the difference is very noticeable. Alot lot people mock and say the 7 is just a blinged out 6. At first glance it looks like that, but i can tell you while building a 7 you notice all the changes and see why they only share a few parts. all that being said, i still think the 6R is a very capable car. we have a few still going strong in the amains here.

Hi, just got a new transponder hybrid rclaps and I was wondering where would be the best spot to install it in the 6R in order to get all my laps counted?

Mine is fixed on the top of the radiobox, but a good place is the sideguard with velcro.

Thumbs up

hey guys, after a little advice. just bought 2x savox 1256tg servos. cheaper ones keep giving up on me. can i run these directly from lipo 7.4? or should i go for the life?
any harm in running throttle on a 20kg servo as long as epa is set right?
thanks
will this be suitable or too long for the mbx battery tray?

For the 1256 you cannot use a regulated 2s lipo, use a life pack

The only problem is that on top of the radio box there is not enough space and the body touches it, I went for the side of the radio box with just 2 screws holding it, just wish that no one comes and crashes directly there....

Hi, just got the overdrive diff ring and pinion option for my MBX6R and I am searching for some directions on what would be a good set up for the diff oils, I am now using 7/7/3 but it says on the mugen website that with the overdrive the center should be heavier.

you can use 7k in the center but you will have to change it more often, like after every race day. even with 10k you will want to change it often, its just the nature of the beast with the od gears. i found my car worked the best when I ran these gears. i ran 7, 10, 2 fcr with the od gear set.
