The new Mugen chassis is significantly lighter than the 5R version, so its not going to be as durable. Also, that flex with the new chassis helps aid in stability, so stiffening the chassis may actually effect performance as opposed to leaving the chassis as is and just replace it when it gets worn. If you allow your chassis to get wore thin, it will bend. I suggest to buy a new chassis if the chassis is worn down. JMHO

That's not right. I've been running mine since the first weekend it was out & I put a ruller on it last night. Flat as flat can be. You guys seeing this out of the box need to call Mugen.

Heres a picture of a new chassis, it's tweaked but about .5mm in the front and rear. if you put the ruler all the way to the back of the chassis the front will look like it's got 1mm tweak but if you set the ruler right in the middle it looks flat. So yes the chassis are bending, my used mbx6 has about 2mm tweak in the front but so does my xray 808 so I wouldn't worry too much.

I am glad they are updating and changing the kit for the better, but even more fustrating than buying one of the initial kits, is buying the same replacement parts for spares as whta they have changed, so now I've got outdated 3 lots of outdated wishbones, hinge pins and outdrives

How can we tell whether a kit is a new model or not? Is there a special marking on the box or something?

Mugen should make a free service pack with those updated parts and send it out to those owners that calls in and request it. Just a thought.

You probably wont be able to, its just whether you have the updated parts for the build or not.

+1 if we show proof of purchase we should definitely be entitled to it.

+2 I would be willing to even pay a discounted rate for a service pack.
