Do you think its just bouncing from chassis slap?
If your shocks are built with just a little rebound and your ride height is normal and springs are not too stiff try 450F/400R or go up to 500/450, i havn't tried the tapered mugen pistons, someone who's experienced with running them will set you right.

Sorry for changing the subject but do most people run the plastic rear chassi brace or the aluminum with the +5 chassi

Thanks

Pretty much anything m2c makes is bomb-proof. Get it.

Ahh, another easy question for you guys. What 'loop' style tank pull works best on the Mugen? Looks like from pics I see, its either the Losi or Durango.
Not a fan of the DE style pull

i used to run them but after multiple times it opening the tank lid causing empty tank and busting a tank, decided to go back to the old faithful ziptie.

In my buggy, the front center cvd is the culprit. I like the teflon spray stuff from Lowes. i use it when i rebuild my car too on cvd's and hinge pins and even on a arms to prevent dirt from sticking. It doesn't last forever, but it is easy to hit the cvd's with it...and it dries fast enough...

Here's what I would try:
1) get some more people to race against. I've found that you can't hear anything over 15 buggies running at the same time.

2) try leaning your engine out until out is screaming...it, too, will drown out the squeak.

Seriously? Try some mobil 1 synthetic grease in that center cvd. Be sure to use that rubber boot too.

I found that I had the same problem...I got rid of the mugen boots entirely, since then no more squeak ( only in the front cvd not the rear)

I don't beleave it's the centre , it's only when I've got the wheels turned , or turning a corner on power. when going in a straight line it's quite.

Seriously? If it's built right, you know, like the manual tells you, just drive. I have never heard of this. But then, i'm moving too fast to be able to tell whether the front or the back is squeaking. Maybe you are used to a 10th scale car. 8th scale cars make a lot of drive train noise. Even the electrics. That's why I hate e buggy. I'd rather hear the engine than the drive train.

Or you could do what my girlfriend advises...sell that shit and take up scrap booking
