If the front spring is shorter and has the same spirals than the rear one(8.25) they are softer.
I've re-read this a few times though I'm still confused. The springs charts and tables going around for both these springs have the exact same firmness figure of 788 N/m despite the different lengths?

Very simple. Notice springs on the front are overall harder than the rears. Fronts are compared to other front springs and rears to other rear springs. Therefore, a spring on the front with the same N/m rating as a rear will be considered soft when comparing to other front springs.

If that does not help, try this. Notice the location of the springs on the chart. The front is one of the softer springs and the rear is in the middle of the chart or one of the harder springs.

You cannot compare front to rear springs by their N/m rating. Only front to front or rear to rear.

We have everything you need for your Mugen @ www.racemugen.com
The manuals and setup and a lot of other great information is on our http://www.racemugen.com/downloads.html page
I hope that helps
The best fuels in my personal experience are Byrons and VP Powermaster.

I saw from a recent video that my car was bouncing off the ground when landing off big jumps. Is that probablly due to too light of rebound damping? Currently running 450F/400R, both with Mugen tapered pistons, taper facing down.

Antbody ran the M2C 3 piece engine mount? I ran the King Headz on my Kyosho and it was ok, nothing special though. The set screw deal on the M2C is interesting but I cant find any feedback on it.
