That track looks a lot like US tracks in that is has large jumps, tight and technical, a little blown out, and low to medium traction. Not your usual smooth flowing smaller jump European track. And Battle setup says he is running 23mm (f) and 26mm (r) for ride height. On US tracks, most setups I've seen are between 27mm and 30mm.

Has anyone tried a lower ride height? US tracks just seem too bumpy with large jumps for such a low ride height (I run primarily at Revs).

I have tried running the 23 and 26 ride height and on some big jumps I bottomed out pretty hard and didn't wamt to go to a lot stiffer springs or oil. I have met in the middle and now run 26f and 29r and see,s to work good for your average tracks.

The best way to keep from flaming on your pits is to have your driver go wide open right after you shut the lid before setting the car down. It takes a little practice to get the timing right but it has always worked for us.

Mugen doesn't introduce new models/platforms as often as other companies. Roughly one every 4-5 years.

MBX-5 - 2003?
MBX-5 Prospec - 2006
MBX-6 - 2008
MBX-6R - 2011

Based on that trend, I wouldn't expect a MBX-7 until 2013...especially since the 6R was just released a few months ago.

Sorry to change the topic all of a sudden, I am just wondering since I had some flame-outs after pit this year.

In practice, get off the stand and have your pit man do a stop while you watch. Is he getting fuel all over your pipe? That will do it every time.

I crack my carb open just a tiny bit and hold it there during all my pit stops (basically, I go to a high idle) and right as my pit man starts to set the car down I go wide open to clear it out. Let go of the trigger as soon as the wheels hit the ground.

with a fresher motor in it doesn't do it, so tuning, compression and the extra bit of pop to burn the extra fuel makes a lot of difference.

What motor and plug are you Terry?

Craig
Thank you!! I am running Ninja JX21 with a P4 Ninja plug. Fuel is 25% with less oil.
The exact problem is that I manage to go through the straight with full throttle but when I lift it for the first corner the engine flames out.
