Cycle once every three weeks. They might be ok for 4 weeks. But just cycle them. Dishcarge then charge back up.

If you are going to store them for a while, charge them all the way up and put them amay. When you are ready to go discharge all the cells individually to the same level. IE - Balance them. Then you can charge and discharge as you like.

I have heard that you shouldn't store them charged or discharged all the way. So I guess it must be 50-80%.

The other method is to just give them a cycle or a simple charge every few weeks (they'll discharge slowly on their own).

I would allways give them a couple cycles before using them again next year, to make sure they are in top shape.

Receiver packs will be fine with about any amount of charge in them. A 4200 pack on the other hand with self discharge from full in maybe about 2 months so it will need to be cycled.

I know NiMH are generally stored 50-60% charged. I don't store them fully charged though. Makes no sense, because you'll end up charging them anyway after storage to make sure there ready for use.
