Page 4 in the manual clearly shows that's the correct hole man. Anychance your brace is on the wrong side of the steering top plate

Make sure you have the chassis brace on the passenger side of the top plate and not in the middle. If its on the passenger side it WILL line up.

Read my post above. You have the brace on wrong. Put it on the right side (passenger side)

really you might want to think about getting someone to help you built your truck. I'm not being a smartass but if you're having this much trouble already you may need some help.

p.s. nice lamp though (that was smartass)

I can't see that pic clearly. But like we both said it looks like its in the wrong spot. I know naturally you want to put it in the middle of those two posts. But it goes on the side.

I usually put a locnut inbetween those posts in the topplate. Makes the whole assembly stronger and takes out the risk of snapping the screw on a hard impact (yes Ive done that ).

Also I have to say its awesome how friendly and helpful people are on this forum when it comes to mistakes like this. Its uncommon to have this kind of maturity level on an RC forum Ive experienced.

+1 to all of you.

Default a picture is worth....

These are from the manual. Here you can see the plate under the center diff, which side the brace connects to, and that the chassis you have looks identical to the one in the manual.

If you did get a free chassis out of Associated, the 'right' thing to do would be to send it back.
