the rc8t is nothing short of amazing. I have never driven a truggy before(mostly MT and Buggy) and WOW. I had no shortage of power either but, it was crazy planted with the box stock set-up. It accelerates like no other truck i have seen and seems to carry huge speed over bumps. i cant wait for the big bores for my RC8....

JUST PICKED UP A USED RC8T and in the spare parts bag i noticed the extra big bore pistons are blank?? is it drill yourself to size because there are pilot hole indentations on the pistons or is this a mfg error?? curious

You are correct on the blank holes, customize the pistons by drilling them yourself. The AE BB kits come with extra set of pistons which are blank, the kit also gives you the drill bit sizes needed to drill out the holes ie #54,55,57,58 .

As far as the nipple goes, I just cut it off , not sure why they recommend it though, if anything, I can fill my tank with more fuel without it going in the pressure line.

Just got mine and started building it. So far, the truggy has a very solid feel to it as far as the build goes. I'm coming from an MBX5T so the bar is set high
.
Build question - Are you guys adding in set screws for the pin that is supposed to be encapsulated by the retaining clip on the CVD's? The clip looks like it's going to fly off and there is nothing holding in the pin except the retaining clip. I'm thinking about dremaling out a flap spot on the pin and putting in a set screw for extra bullet proofing (I did this on my Mugen and never lost a pin) but I'm curious to hear others thoughts on this.

Heres mine

Goes great on the track, better then a mbx5t.
Gave my mate a go with mine and he drives the pro spec mbx5t and he couldnt believe how much better this is.
