Hey guys I'm building my CE & have a question. Do the brake pads need to be scuffed up or left smooth & shiny.

I left mine alone and ran them the way they came. I haven't had any problems with them at all.

As of now I have the front and rear diffs on the chassis. So far I'm missing the 2 set screws for the pin in the front axels and had a #3 hinge pin bushing instead of a #2 bushing.

Has anyone else had issues with missing and/or wrong parts? If so what is the best way to deal with AE to get replacements?

What fuel tank does everyone switch to instead of the associated one?
My friends brand new truggy had air bubbles in the lines with the very first tank we ran through it. I've got the RC8 and fought that tank so I know how AE's tanks are. I went through 2 and then got a jammin tank.

I'd either email AE or give them a call to let them know what parts you're missing. They're pretty good getting you the missing ones. Calling would most likely be quicker.

Most go with the Hot Bodies tank from the D8T but I think something has to be modded to get it to fit in right.

My truck came with a broken tank and a bad sway bar collar. I called associated and they said to fax them the reciept and then they will send the parts. I was only hold maybe three minutes to get to the guy I talk to. I got impatient and bought a tank. I was in a hurry to get the truck done. So I bought a tank that night. The parts came in three days later or something like that.
