Default Lipo regulator mounting?

I started running a 2000 lipo in my MBX5T truggy. There is no space inside the rec/bat box to mount the regulator.

Is it ok to mount it on top of the recr. box w/double sided tape?

I asked a question similar to yours before, I thought I had a problem with the regulator getting too hot, the answer I got them "keep your electric out of site".

Since I have followed the advice.

If you can't fit the regulator in the receiver box, just make sure you wrap it in a balloon or seal it some other way so you you don't have problems with fuel/water.

No need for a balloon. I ran a li-po regulator with a huge heat sink Shoo Gooed on the lid of the battery box on my Sportwerks Mayhem Truggy for a year without any problems. When do you guys get your stuff wet? I don't mean a bit damp, I mean soaking wet. It doesn't happen.

I run the Protek 2000 battery and the Protek regulator in both my MBX5R and T. I use velcro to stick the regulators to the outside of the battery portion of the box. Works great, no problems at all.
