What do the locals where you race run?
You cant go wrong with either the Losi XXXNT AD2 or AE RC10GT2, both offer a similar level of performance and are both race proven many times at the major events. |
The GT2 is a fantastic truck, about the only thing you might want to do is put a set of RPM control arms on each end and you have a fast, durable truck.
Not 24 hours ago my GT2 was thrown in with the Monster Truck class at Leisure Hours in Joliet, IL. They had bigger motors, more suspension travel, 4 wheel drive, and huge tires. What did I have? A 3 lap lead at the finish. |

heh i pwn my freind's MT all the time with my hpi firestorm. remember you will beat MT's because stadium trucks are more manuverable and you can throw them round corners.

A lot of the tracks I've been to this summer have been pretty tight and technical, and slippery. The 4x4 of a monster truck and all of their suspension and ground clearance helps them out a lot. Plus, my GT2 isn't really set up 100% for racing, it's more of a basher that holds it's own out on the track. I'm chalking yesterday up to sheer reliability and driveability. All I had to do was keep the engine lit and the truck rubber side down and pointed in the right direction, and I walked away from 'em.

Some of these guys are right: the associated GT2 and Losi XXX-NT AD2 are the 2 best nitro stadium trucks out there. I had an AD2 and loved it, but I think the GT2 is a little easier to repair the tranny on. I sold mine as the class is dead around here, but personally, I love 10th scale ST, as it requires quite a bit of throttle finger finesse.

The GT2 RTR is an excellent truck. Easy to work on and good performance. I race a RTR on my track and it does really well.
