I had one. It's a fun basher and a good entry level buggy, but if you're looking for something more serious or want to race find something a little higher level. It is an RTR and that means you'll be replacing the servos/radio gear soon after anyway. Might as well just spend the money up front IMO.

Don't cheap out when buying a car. If you plan on sticking with this hobby get something good that won't give you problems down the road and provide the kind of performance that won't leave you feeling the need for more. Basically what you would find with the Ultra is that the drivetrain is weak, the included electronics are garbage, the engine stinks, the pipe is crap, the handling is absolutely awful, the tires are terrible, and the quality of the plastics is brutal, but then again it is $330. If your looking for a buggy stick to these brands for sure (in no particular order); Xray, Kyosho, Mugen, and Losi. There are more of course, but those are my top 4.
