Default Futaba 3pk Fasst or stick with Spektrum?

I recently purchased a Futaba 3pks barebones radio and a Spektrum pro Module/receiver. I wanted the Fasst system at the time purchase but they were out of stock. Since using the Spektrum system on my 3pk, it seems to be adequate for my needs, but i have a range issue to the point that Spektrum says i need to send the whole system in for replacement (only have about 40ft of range).

My plan was to sell off the spektrum system and replace it with the fasst sytem, but I wanted your thoughts and maybe some concrete specs to show how one system is better than the other. I've been searching all over the forums and google to find a good comparison of the two but i can't find one. All the ones I've seen compare the Nomadio system (which i have a Sensor) and spektrum. But those results are on the older spektrum systems, so the numbers have changed by now.

Which system is faster/better range/better options? I'm trying to decide whether or not to get the Fasst system, but if the differences are only negligable, I'm going to stick with spektrum for a couple of reasons: first, I already have it. second, I can add telemetry to the spektrum, not the fasst (a feature that i love about the nomadio but I wanted a second radio with a better look/feel to it).

I understand that the Fasst system has frequency hopping technology so that's nice, but unnecessary for me cause where i race, there are not too many people (rarely over 40) and I've never had an issue with spektrum channel interference.

Please advise me with your vast banks of knowledge!

Ive had a Spektrum Pro for 2 seasons now, before in my Hitec CRX and now in my recently acquired Futaba 3PK and the difference between the Hitec and Futaba in speed was so large that I can't see myself needing a faster system.

I for one have had no issues with the range of the spektrum package, and I even run my antenna wire coiled up inside my reciever box thats stuffed with foam and other wires.

Love the spektrum, I don't think I'll ever change.

Thanks for the input guys. I now own both systems. I just need another 3pk for the spektrum as i'm currently using the fasst system with this 3pk. I have sent my spektrum system in to horizon for service/replacement and when i get it back i may just get another 3pk for it. I know it's overkill, having a Sensor with two transcievers and 2 3pk's one with fasst and one with spektrum pro, but what can i say...i love the technology. But now that i hae all 3 systems, i can do some of my own testing and report on which i like the best.

I and my son both run te Futaba system and never have had any issues or overheating. All of our receivers are also wrapped in foam padding inside the rec box. Been working great that way for 2 years.

I vote for KO

No seriously both the Futaba and Spektrum system are good. I don't find one better than the other at all.
