Default What is an offset wheel???

I kind of feel stupid for asking but since I don`t know I will ask.What is a offset wheel exactly and what are the benefits????

Just means the center of the wheel where it secures to the axle is pushed deeper into the rim shell

+ = Increases track (width from side to side) and makes the vehicle more stable

- = Can play hell on wheel/axle bearings and steering servos, alters shock geometry

Some people use them, some people don't

On proline's web site they have good diagrams and dimensions of wheels with different offsets.
