Mine arrived yesterday with AKA foams and AKA rims :D I'm ready to pick them up at the post office. Should I scuff the tires before glueing them? The tires are new and I use AKA glue.
and now some more pictures! |

Thanks, I'll scuff the tires and then clean the tires and rims with alcohol. Like the AKA manual says. I tried the AKA and Schumacher foams. Aka medium is harder than the stock Schumachers, but the Schumachers are junk imo :o They don't fit that good in the tired while the aka's fit pefect, and they seem to be more durable. I'll think I need to buy a second set for my spirals :D
We use the Schumacher Spirals, Mini-pins & Mini-spikes here in Western Australia on our Grass & Astroturf Tracks. Definitely put the AKA foams in those, the Schumacher foams are far too soft, and won't perform anywhere near as well. You can also use the Proline Closed Cell foams too ;) :D By the way, what are you guys running tyre-wise in Truggy on the Astroturf?? |
