Default How much Con rod play is too much??

Con rod slop.. How much play in the bushing is too much..
I just measured.. .05mm of difference when measuring with digital caliper?

Should this rod be replaced.. or am I able to run this?

the crank pin has .01mm difference.. so doesnt look like damage there..

con rod has .05 difference and the crank has .01 difference? Are you talking the con rod has .05mm difference between the rod and piston and the crank is .01mm different from the rod?

.05mm = .002
.01mm is .0003937, hardly measurable with calipers unless you have some really nice tools ( Mitutoyo, Brown Sharpe, Etalon)

Unless the engine is making noises like rocks in a coffee can, put it back together and run it.

Using Mitoyo calipers
I am measuring the conrod bushing with .05mm
and the crank pin has .01..

The reason I asked the question is I have to rebuild the motor..and I was hoping to get away with break in and the first gallon on the old rod that way the new rod wont get stretched.. but I dont want the pinch zone to be affected..( in otherwords when I put the new rod in.. not have a properly broke in sleeve..due to the slop... )..

Im just being super anal cause its on a JP B5N..mod I dont run my high dollar stuff much.. and have had this forever but every dog has its day.. : )
