So besides the looks which everyone goes by I KNOW what will fit and what will not. So say what you want. Go to the X-ray thread and call them all "Losi 808" Drivers and while your at it go to the Odonnels thread and call them "Kyosho Z01-B" drivers too.

I will agree with you that 808 is a losi copy but a much better one.The zo1b looks looks like old kyosho car.As far as ocm not being a copy of mbx5 lets agree to disagree.

can anyone help me find a good place to buy ocm parts in usa??

There aren't a lot of parts available in the US anymore. Right now, Holeshothobbies.com has parts and there is a seller on ebay that has quite a few listed. OCM indicated late last year they had intentions of a continued presence in the US market but that hasn't materialized. I don't know where that effort stands at the moment.

Please heed the words of Vnmsgt and Speedy2 regarding interchangeability of parts with a "particular buggy" that looks very similar. They have actual in-depth, hands-on experience with OCM and know what they are talking about. Just read through this topic and you will see the multiple contributions they have made.

ok the ocm is a mugen copy than... but also a much nicer one with his own behavior ..

again I have a O'Donnell
and really nothing reminds my off a Kyosho
unless the way the MKI drives possibly

in fact, only the lower front arms look alike..
and you can mount the upper arms
but then the geometry is all different
and the ocm isn't driving as good anymore

many rods and the diff outdrives are much bigger
so you can't mount the mugen ones
and there is the toeplates with inserts that makes it
the most tunable buggy ever

it is really a buggy on it's own and a good and beautiful one..

OCM will re-start coming soon.;););)

what does he mean ??

Soapy 11-21-2009 04:54 AM

There is no doubt that ocm will be bringing out a new car in the near future.

How good it will be will depend heavily on the owner/designers attention to detail and how commited they are in listening to what customers needs are.

It may be under a different name or they may just release it as a dt 20.

Unfortunately though my trust in them doing the above is zero. However I do wish them the best of luck and if they do pull it off, I will be the 1st to congratulate them.

I just hope they don't go for the stupid 808 transmission on the new buggy
that would be desaster even before started...

OCM is coming back?

RoyJ 01-21-2010 12:04 PM

Perhaps as a private label manufacturer.

I wish I could find a chassis for my dt19 truggy. With hong nor shocks that thing dominated every race I've ever put it in. I just hardly ever ran it since there was no parts support.

olegeezer 01-21-2010 03:59 PM

theres an ocm truggy on ebay now 18 hrs left
