Hey pooldoc, nice race on sunday! The OCM looked really good besides the couple problems. Hopefully get mine running soon to have some fun on the side with it. You said you had a glow plug go bad?? Why did you not replace it? I started 4 laps down with my Caster K8T and finished 4th overall in the Amain having to find motor mount bolts the came off. Would liked to have run with you a couple laps! We need start having a tally between me and you! So far Caster 1 and OCM 0 LOL! Just kidding. Are you going to the state race this month in Ocoee? I am going to go. I have a friend staying at my house that lives far away, you can stay over too instead of driving back or getting a hotel. I am about 6 miles from the track.

I do not think so but outacontrol in Ocoee about 6 miles away or so is having a practice race on saturday in preparation for the state race 2 weeks from now. I am racing the state race. You want to come out and race the state race? I can probably go to WOW and practice on sunday if you want to go?

Guy's, I Ran the Truggy at my local club meet to test Buggy running gear.
Bad news is it cant be done.....I had 48t sper and buggy pinion / crown and 13t bell ,I had a 12t bell but no bearings to fit it as it takes diff size.Even with my Sirio MX 28 was sluggish getting of the mark ,it would bogg down but once it got going it was fine...balistic fast top end. And it wrecked good alloy (hard)clutch shoes in 2 x10min races.
What can be done to get ratio right???

I ran a mugen truggy[46/10]diff last weekend after toasting my rear. It worked great, only thing is you have to make room for the ring gear, it rubs chassis. I was in a hurry so I just tapped a small dent in chassis to fit it.
Until OCM comes out with a updated ring/ pinion it is the only viable alternative I have found. Buggy running gear just doesn't work, some truggies have gearing in diffs close to buggies, they have to use a huge spur[Cen Matrix TR], to fit the spur the center diff mount is a lot higher to clear chassis.
I wouldn't hold my breath for a update from OCM. I didn't come up with this on my own, it was recomended to me by a OCM driver high in OCM usa, I saw his ride and it has a moo diff in it as well.
Chris, I don't think I'm gonna run the state race but WOW or outacontrol sounds good this weekend. Thanks for the generous offer for lodging, I'll be in touch . Parry

Shane, Yes sir, I am runnng for Mugen now and Happy as Heck!!! I have always had great luck with Mugen stuff and hardly ever had a mechanical break down. If anything broke it was because of me....With work, I really haven't had as much time to do any racing this year so far but things are looking up towards the fall season......
