Very remotely. Perhaps if you were Adam Drake, maybe.
The RTR has too many "soft" parts that will bend if crashed a lot. The shocks are a bit strange too, you will need to use 25 to 35 wt oil. There is a lot of flex in the chassis and the tire foams are way too soft.
It's a great bashing truggy though.

I have not seen that many run but the few I have do not look all that capable.
I think the Jammin CR RTR and the Losi 8ight RTR are a beter car out of the box. The Jammin is the better of the 2 cars coming from the box. but the Losi has the better radio(spektrum DX2.0). cost I think is 450 for the cr and about 580 for the 8ight. other than that it is brand preference. Kyosho makes an awesome pro buggy but the rtr is not up to par with the other rtr buggy's out there.
maybe look for a used pro kit?

Hi there,
I'm from Singapore and I own this buggy. When for a race once (first time) The buggy needs some touch up like changing the shock oil, servos, 777 torque rod, stabilizer bar and even mounted a V-spec engine onto it. The Inferno buggy alone will not be raceable. It depends on how much you want to get out of it. The stock GXR 0.28 engine is powerful but I don't think it'll last very long in a race continuously.
But more importantly, when you race, have fun regardless of what buggy you have. If you want to race with this car, make sure you put in the front and rear torque rods as the first modification to the car. Use the 777 ones.

If you need an RTR thats competitive I would probably start with the Losi 8ight RTR. From everything I've seen it looks to be the racer RTR. They seem to have paid attention to the details on the buggy, like the brake linkage is set properly out of the box as is the ride height, its the small things like that which make me say it looks like the best RTR.
