I have had hitec in the past (great customer service..second to none), but the last 3 years I have been running a JR9000t for steering and a JR9000s for throttle...I have about 20 gallons on 2 different trucks during this time and they are still going along like brand new...well worth the money imo

thanks ali...
for steering...
The hitec that i looking is 25kg and 0.15 same as orion and savox but i race all the time with the 1015 and i fear that the 0.15 will be slow...
so you suggest me 25kg at the steering??
i thinking about the 1409 or for the hitec 7954SH....
Also something else i strip for second time my front ring/ pinion(the first was some weeks before but after one year of racing) this time was after one week after a big race and i found that the inside bearing of the pinion is without the teflon shield so i think this is the reason that i strip the front ring pinion...
this time i am thinking to buy the Hot Bodies ring pinions

i drive both my buggy and truggy with a .15s servo, i dont think its slow and i know for sure it works good since am winning here and there.
i would stick with savox sevos, they've been very good to me. as i told you 1256 for steering and 1258 for throttle.
about the diff issue, i found out that the ST-RR diffs are very tricky, i reshim them before every race day, i've seen few blow out because of bad shimming.
i heared alot about the HB install but can't comment since i've never done it myself.
i would stick with the stock Kyosho parts and just make sure the mesh is right and that there is no lateral play in the diff when installed. add as much shims as possible to stop any play.
stock bearings are crap IMO, metal shield doesnt stay in its place and the bearings get gritty fast so i run ceramic yellow rubbered Bocas on all my offroad cars they are expensive but zero problems.
cheers

If you shim the stock kyosho ring and pinion correctly, they should last a long time...they are tough as they come in my experience. I am still on my original ring and pinions after maybe 12 gallons (2 years)...I have had to reshim them maybe 3 times during the past 2 years (to make them a little tighter)...

Spur
Have any of you used the 52T Spur w/o any fit problems? The 3mm spacers are fine under the diff mounts, but the top plate does not clear the spur. I know I could put spacers under the plate to clear the spur, but the brake cams won't fit correctly if I do that. Are there taller brake cams that can be purchased?? I don't want to dremel the plate.
