Hi guys...at 30 May he have our first National Truggy race and i am prepared for this race...now i will do a total rebuild at my st-rr...
At the track that we will race i have race again one time but with diffenent jumps and layout and i finish 2nd ... my set up is 7/10/3 at diffs and i remember that with this set up at this track i loose time at some very tight corners because i have not so good steering ..
What diff oils you suggest me?my mechanic said to move at 7/15/3 so to have less power in front and more power at rear so to turn more easy ..
the track is this

at the last foto is the three tight corners that i loose a lot of time ... the track also has a very good grip
i am waiting suggestions

hello,

you better start mesuring ride height, its very important and you will notice how the car reacts differently when you change the RH.
anyways, dial in more droop up front like 118 or 119, increase the toe out to 2.5 or 3 and try running without the front sway bar.
why this amount of droop at the rear of your truck?? 127mm is alot IMHO
for ride height, make sure you have at least 2mm lower front, i run with 3mm lower front, it helps alot in turnning.

just try those small changes and tell us what you think. also the 2K oil in the rear will free up the rearend a bit and gives you more turn-in.

cheers

Ali

thanks Ali again..
you measure the RH from the ground to the skid plates?or it doesnt matter if i have skid plates?
with 2k oil rear it will lock up my rear end it will not free up...anyway i will try your small suggestions

from ground to lowest end of the chassis, even if you have skidplates you can do the ride height. lets say the skid plate is 4mm and you need a 35mm front ride height, with skid plates, you should have 31mm, just do the math, you get it ??
i use a normal school rouler to do my ride height.

how come going from 3K to 2K will lock the rear diff??

cheers

Ali

hello,

throttle or steering??

i run savox, same as team orion, savox 1256 or team orion 2015 for steering, 20KGs and .15s, 2 seasons hard driving on buggy and then truggy with zero issues. for throttle, savox 1258 or team orion 1409, 12KGs(savox) 14KGs(Orion) and .08s (Savox) .09 (Orion) , super fast and torquy enough to stop the beast.

cheers

Ali

thanks ali...
for steering...
The hitec that i looking is 25kg and 0.15 same as orion and savox but i race all the time with the 1015 and i fear that the 0.15 will be slow...
so you suggest me 25kg at the steering??
i thinking about the 1409 or for the hitec 7954SH....

Also something else i strip for second time my front ring/ pinion(the first was some weeks before but after one year of racing) this time was after one week after a big race and i found that the inside bearing of the pinion is without the teflon shield so i think this is the reason that i strip the front ring pinion...
this time i am thinking to buy the Hot Bodies ring pinions
