I've got a 5 port standard plug Go motor in an 8th buggy and it's silly fast. It should be plenty for a truggy.

Brian Carey with Pro Twister Mods does the 5 or 7 port with standard or turbo heads, TKO ceramic bearings......They are both very good engines

I wanted to buy a go. Until there was a post about the carb on these engines (on a othere forum). It looks like GO has not yet figured out there carbs sinse there has been about 4 differend ones. So make sure U buy a new one with the latest specs. U might end up with a pig.
I bought a new V-spec until GO has sorted out there carbs.

I got mine in early april and so far it works just fine, no carb issues at all. I did have a leaky front bearing, but the importer offered to either replace it if I wanted to send him the engine, or send me a bearing. I opted for the bearing and had it in my hot little hand 2 days later. With the excellent customer service and stellar performance from the engine, the GoTech has been a win win deal for me.

The carb deal is not a issue as much as it has been said to be, as with any motor maker that has a composite body and alum HSN housing it is prone to do this, it is easy to check for it, if it does leak seal where the housing meets the composite. i have only had 2 leak, but all of them are sealed by me befor they see the customer= as far as modded GO's. The 5 port will move a truggy with ease, some people just don't realize how strong they really are and the 7 is stellar as well, if you clutch it and pipe it right it can be as strong as the 5 or smooth if you like that feel, but i would go for a 5 they just rip

i have a 5 port on the buggy and its wicked and not to mention i dont half to adjust the carb and stuff on it as much as some of the rb's and nova motors. Im gettin ready to buy a 7 port as ive heard that there a little more powerful then the 5 so it should be real. I just hope the 7 is as smooth and torque as the 5..the only other thing i could ask of gotech would be to put out a .12 motor for my 10th scale truck..

I can Vouch for the 5 port.....

I have an XB8 EC and a NEW Modded Go 5 port and HOLY cow its a really good engine.

There is a new batch now which apparently has a new carb and LSN needle. Make sure your supplier has fresh stock.

They are only getting better.

Cant wait to really get some time on this baby.

In the Truggys with a 2047 pipe they rip up the tyres no worries, BIG BALOONS.

Another Plus for Go techers is the excellent 10 min tank times. Power is no good without effieciency.

I took a gamble on this motor and wont look back.
