Pro's and Con's.....

Pro: They are different tires.

Con: They may work differently in different conditions.

That question is way too vague to get any real type of answer. Asking something like, "Which is better, red paint or black paint?" would probably get a better response.

It's been my experience that even if you only run one track (how boring) you still need practice/warm-up tires, qualifying tires and then your Main tires if you're a serious competitor. Track conditions change and you need the right tires as they do.

I use the same tires all race day. If you start changing tires between races then you have to adjust to the different grip every time you put your car out on the track.

How often do you win the A-main with over 50 truggy entrants?

We have never had 50 entrants. I was on the winning path once until the set screw for my front uper arm hinge-pin came loose and droped me out of the race. But most any other races we have there are two dominant fators that you just have no chance of beating, Last race I remember I got 3rd and was laped 4 times by the first and second place, and that was a 15 min main But anyways if you are realy that anal that you have to put on a different set of tires every race you have way to big of a wallet and you need to share with the rest of us (me). But realy truggy tires dont wear fast enough to make it worth switching for better tread and as long as all your heats are on the same track there is no point in changing tires for a different tread.

Well if you don't have much competition then I guess you just do what you must to stay ahead of the pack at your track. Fresh rubber is a must at my track if you want to be in the B-main much less the A!

For the mains, yes. We sell the mounted used tires to lower main guys. There's no other way to be consistent.
