Default 12v battery headaches!

When I first bought it I charged it with a float charger from harbor freight and it worked for three days straight. Next charge did not take. Thinking that the charger was done I bought a 12v wall charger from Hobby People and let it charged overnight and it lasted for 4 bump starts. Im at my wits end. Is there a possibility that I ruined the battery? How can I check if its still good.

well, to ease your frustration, you are not alone....

I bought a 12V and charged it with a wall charger for a whole season, 12 hours at the most each time...box would last a whole race day, easy.

Now, after the first year with the battery, it requires about 24-30 hours to get enough charge to consistantly last a whole race day. And that's it.

I bought this 12v for the ease and maintanance free thing. Would stick packs be the way to go?

Yeah, I stole mine from a battery back up surge protector for computers. Mine is lasting just fine. I actually get about a month worth of use out of mine per charge.
