Default Can I run buggy wheels/tires on truggy for break-in?

I just got a new 8t. I noticed my GRP on-road tires/wheels for my mugen MBX5r fit and clear the suspension. Will I damage something if I run them for breaking in my C6? Here's the link: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/7613

Why not use the XTT tires? During break in you shouldn't be running full bore anyways. Obviously with the on-road tires you aren't planning on running off-road to break the engine in. With the smaller tires the suspension will compress enough for the chassis to drag a lot on uneven ground. I'd say just use the stock tires. Drive easy and enjoy.

i guess i always drive off road for break in, but if pavement is all you have to drive on i guess i would still use the truggy tires just to know where things are based on speed, cause your gear ratio would be way off with the buggy tires...

I used a set of old buggy tires to break in my VG in my 8ight-T with no problems (on the pavement). I only had problems with the VG I broke in on the buggy with the same tires

Anyway, I wouldn't over analyze it too much. Don't be afraid to run the first few light duty break in tanks on the pavement with the buggy tires, then finish up the break-in at the track with the truggy tires on (or your friends will laugh at you).

Why not? Using a quarter throttle to half throttle doesn't depend on the tires you use. Just resist the urge to pin the throttle regardless of tire size.

It will be O.K. as long as the rims dont rub on anything. Just be extra careful not to blip the throttle too fast.
